Dolores Hidalgo's traditional pottery crafts are mainly crafted with white glazed pottery, locally known as "Mayolica."These glazed pottery crafts are distinguished for their elegant and colored designs, a product of Italian renaissance art and Spanish influence. Totally hand-painted using vivid colors, where flowers and birds are predominant in their designs. This container in the shape of a mermaid is known in Mexico as "tibor." It was utterly hand-made, decorated with floral motifs painted in ivory white covering a beautiful ochre palette.
